4  Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and ^ajudges:

  11  Therefore I will be your king the remainder of my days; nevertheless, let us appoint ^bjudges, to judge this people according to our law; and we will newly arrange the affairs of this people, for we will appoint wise men to be judges, that will judge this people according to the commandments of God.

  17  And whoso standeth in this mission is appointed to be a ^ajudge in Israel, like as it was in ancient days, to divide the lands of the heritage of God unto his children;
