4  For there are certain ^amen crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

  13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people ^adraw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

  31  And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their ^bmouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

  46  And why call ye me, ^bLord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

  10  And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but ^afeignedly, saith the Lord.

  22  Which all are to perish with the using;) after the ^acommandments and doctrines of men?

  14  Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and ^bcommandments of men, that turn from the truth.

  6  And behold, how oft you have transgressed the commandments and the laws of God, and have gone on in the ^cpersuasions of men.

  29  But they receive it not; for they perceive not the light, and they turn their hearts from me because of the ^cprecepts of men.

  7  But ye are commanded in all things to ask of God, who giveth liberally; and that which the Spirit testifies unto you even so I would that ye should do in all holiness of heart, walking uprightly before me, considering the end of your salvation, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving, that ye may not be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the ^gcommandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils.

  5  Having a ^aform of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

  32  But behold, this time it hath brought forth much fruit, and there is ^bnone of it which is good. And behold, there are all kinds of bad fruit; and it profiteth me nothing, notwithstanding all our labor; and now it grieveth me that I should lose this tree.

  7  It is an imperative duty that we owe to God, to angels, with whom we shall be brought to stand, and also to ourselves, to our wives and children, who have been made to bow down with grief, sorrow, and care, under the most damning hand of murder, tyranny, and oppression, supported and urged on and upheld by the influence of that spirit which hath so strongly riveted the ^ccreeds of the fathers, who have inherited lies, upon the hearts of the children, and filled the world with confusion, and has been growing stronger and stronger, and is now the very mainspring of all corruption, and the whole earth groans under the weight of its iniquity.
