29  Your carcases shall fall in this ^bwilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

  13  But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the ^cwilderness, to consume them.

  5  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the ^dwilderness.

  31  And it came to pass that according to his word he did ^adestroy them; and according to his word he did lead them; and according to his word he did do all things for them; and there was not any thing done save it were by his word.

  7  Wherefore we labored diligently among our people, that we might persuade them to come unto Christ, and partake of the goodness of God, that they might enter into his rest, lest by any means he should swear in his wrath they should not enter in, as in the provocation in the days of temptation while the children of Israel were in the ^ewilderness.

  24  But they hardened their hearts and could not endure his presence; therefore, the Lord in his wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory.
