19  Wherefore, I speak unto all the house of Israel, if it so be that they should obtain ^athese things.

  16  And I had faith, and I did cry unto God that he would preserve the records; and he covenanted with me that he would ^cbring them forth unto the Lamanites in his own due time.

  11  Yea, even if they should dwindle in unbelief the Lord shall prolong their days, until the time shall come which hath been spoken of by our fathers, and also by the prophet Zenos, and many other prophets, concerning the ^crestoration of our brethren, the Lamanites, again to the knowledge of the truth—

  1  And now, behold, I would speak somewhat unto the ^aremnant of this people who are spared, if it so be that God may give unto them my words, that they may know of the things of their fathers; yea, I speak unto you, ye remnant of the house of Israel; and these are the words which I speak:

  8  Wherefore, they are of worth unto the children of men, and he that supposeth that they are not, unto them will I speak particularly, and confine the words unto mine ^bown people; for I know that they shall be of great worth unto them in the last days; for in that day shall they understand them; wherefore, for their good have I written them.

  6  And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall bring forth unto ^ayou the words of a book, and they shall be the words of them which have slumbered.

  2  And as these plates are small, and as these things are written for the intent of the benefit of our brethren the ^dLamanites, wherefore, it must needs be that I write a little; but I shall not write the things of my prophesying, nor of my revelations. For what could I write more than my fathers have written? For have not they revealed the plan of salvation? I say unto you, Yea; and this sufficeth me.

  20  And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord, and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

  4  Therefore I will write and ^ahide up the records in the earth; and whither I go it mattereth not.
