11  Except thou ^ado this, thou shalt be delivered up and become as other men, and have no more gift.

  37  That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens ^ewithdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man.

  29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be ^ctaken away even that which he hath.

  3  And it shall come to pass, if they are not more faithful unto me, it shall be ^ataken away, even that which they have.

  3  And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

  15  And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is ^adeparted from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

  16  For I will not ^acontend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

  4  Behold, I am laboring with them continually; and when I speak the word of God with sharpness they tremble and anger against me; and when I use no sharpness they harden their hearts against it; wherefore, I fear lest the Spirit of the Lord hath ceased ^cstriving with them.
