2  And he wrought evil in the sight of the Lord; but not like his ^bfather, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.

  13  But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their ^cgroves:

  3  For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a ^bgrove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

  18  And I will pluck up thy ^agroves out of the midst of thee; so will I destroy thy cities.

  6  Nevertheless they departed not from the ^asins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria.)

  8  Wherefore, we would to God that we could persuade all men not to rebel against God, to ^bprovoke him to anger, but that all men would believe in Christ, and view his death, and suffer his cross and bear the shame of the world; wherefore, I, Jacob, take it upon me to fulfil the commandment of my brother Nephi.

  36  And now, my brethren, behold I say unto you, that if ye will harden your hearts ye shall not enter into the rest of the Lord; therefore your iniquity ^aprovoketh him that he sendeth down his wrath upon you as in the first provocation, yea, according to his word in the last provocation as well as the first, to the everlasting destruction of your souls; therefore, according to his word, unto the last death, as well as the first.
