14  And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of ^bspoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

  3  And thus we see that except the Lord doth chasten his people with many afflictions, yea, except he doth visit them with death and with terror, and with famine and with all manner of pestilence, they will not remember him.

  9  And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a ^adeliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
