1  And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare ^aCain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

  13  For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his ^bsons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

  12  And thus Laman and Lemuel, being the eldest, did murmur against their father. And they did ^bmurmur because they knew not the dealings of that God who had created them.

  8  Now the sons of Mosiah were numbered among the ^aunbelievers; and also one of the sons of Alma was numbered among them, he being called Alma, after his father; nevertheless, he became a very wicked and an idolatrous man. And he was a man of many words, and did speak much flattery to the people; therefore he led many of the people to do after the manner of his iniquities.

  2  And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should ^aobey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.

  6  And they said: ^aWho is God, that sendeth no more authority than one man among this people, to declare unto them the truth of such great and marvelous things?

  2  And Adam knew his wife, and she bare unto him ^bsons and daughters, and they began to multiply and to replenish the earth.
