9  And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may ^bhear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.

  18  And all the people ^asaw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

  10  Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them ^chear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

  23  And it came to pass, when ye ^aheard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

  29  And it came to pass that there came a ^avoice as if it were above the cloud of darkness, saying: Repent ye, repent ye, and seek no more to destroy my servants whom I have sent unto you to declare good tidings.

  3  And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a ^avoice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.
