Isaiah 44:18  
 18 They have not aknown nor understood: for he hath bshut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their chearts, that they cannot understand.

  20  Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no cknowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

  14  But behold, the Jews were a stiffnecked people; and they despised the words of plainness, and killed the prophets, and sought for things that they could not understand. Wherefore, because of their eblindness, which blindness came by looking beyond the mark, they must needs fall; for God hath taken away his plainness from them, and delivered unto them many things which they cannot understand, because they desired it. And because they desired it God hath done it, that they may stumble.

  33  And the multitude did hear and do bear record; and their ahearts were open and they did understand in their hearts the words which he prayed.
