17  Even so every ^agood tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

  3  For they are carnal and devilish, and the devil has power over them; yea, even that old serpent that did beguile our first parents, which was the cause of their fall; which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, knowing evil from good, ^fsubjecting themselves to the devil.

  23  Now Amulek said: O thou ^achild of hell, why tempt ye me? Knowest thou that the righteous yieldeth to no such temptations?

  13  So we thy people and ^bsheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

  25  Let not thine ^aheart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

  30  But the Pharisees and lawyers ^arejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

  24  No man can ^aserve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

  7  And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect ^chear my voice and harden not their hearts;

  40  Wherefore, it came to pass that the devil tempted Adam, and he partook of the forbidden fruit and transgressed the commandment, wherein he became ^csubject to the will of the devil, because he yielded unto temptation.
