17  But I shall make an account of my proceedings in my days. Behold, I make an abridgment of the record of my father, upon plates which I have made with mine own hands; wherefore, after I have abridged the record of my father then will I make an account of mine own life.

  44  Behold, they have only got a part, or an ^aabridgment of the account of Nephi.

  14  And I, Jarom, do not write more, for the plates are small. But behold, my brethren, ye can go to the ^bother plates of Nephi; for behold, upon them the records of our wars are engraven, according to the writings of the kings, or those which they caused to be written.

  10  Wherefore, it came to pass that after Amaleki had delivered up these plates into the hands of king Benjamin, he took them and put them with the ^bother plates, which contained records which had been handed down by the kings, from generation to generation until the days of king Benjamin.

  38  And now, verily I say unto you, that an account of those things that you have written, which have gone out of your hands, is engraven upon the ^aplates of Nephi;

  6  O my sons, I would that ye should remember that these sayings are true, and also that these records are true. And behold, also the plates of Nephi, which contain the records and the sayings of our fathers from the time they left Jerusalem until now, and they are true; and we can know of their surety because we have them before our eyes.

  13  And now there are many ^arecords kept of the proceedings of this people, by many of this people, which are particular and very large, concerning them.

  23  And now I, Mormon, seeing that the Lamanites were about to overthrow the land, therefore I did go to the hill Shim, and did take up all the ^brecords which Ammaron had hid up unto the Lord.

  23  Behold, I, Amaleki, was born in the days of Mosiah; and I have lived to see his death; and ^aBenjamin, his son, reigneth in his stead.

  2  And now, as I have spoken concerning these plates, behold they are not the plates upon which I make a full account of the history of my people; for the ^aplates upon which I make a full account of my people I have given the name of Nephi; wherefore, they are called the plates of Nephi, after mine own name; and these plates also are called the plates of Nephi.
