11  And in one year from this day let them re-commence laying the foundation of my house.

  16  For now have I ^achosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

  3  And thus saith the Lord your God, if you will receive wisdom here is wisdom. Behold, the place which is now called Independence is the center place; and a spot for the ^btemple is lying westward, upon a lot which is not far from the courthouse.

  57  And let my servant Sidney Rigdon consecrate and dedicate this land, and the spot for the ^ctemple, unto the Lord.

  3  Which city shall be built, beginning at the ^btemple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others with whom the Lord was well pleased.

  4  Verily this is the word of the Lord, that the city New Jerusalem shall be built by the gathering of the saints, beginning at this place, even the place of the temple, which temple shall be ^creared in this generation.
