13  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no ^blaw.

  25  Wherefore, he has given a law; and where there is ^bno law given there is no punishment; and where there is no punishment there is no condemnation; and where there is no condemnation the mercies of the Holy One of Israel have claim upon them, because of the atonement; for they are delivered by the power of him.

  17  Now, how could a man repent except he should sin? How could he sin if there was no ^blaw? How could there be a law save there was a punishment?

  13  And if ye shall say there is ^ano law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away.
