3  ^aReuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

  1  Now the sons of ^aReuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

  31  And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of ^cReuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.

  21  Those that were ^anumbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

  7  These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were ^anumbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
