2  ^aHow long shall thy hand be stayed, and thine eye, yea thy pure eye, behold from the eternal heavens the wrongs of thy people and of thy servants, and thine ear be penetrated with their cries?

  12  For the rich men thereof are full of ^aviolence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

  14  Ye have ^asaid: It is vain to serve God, and what doth it profit that we have kept his ordinances and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of Hosts?
